Via Gizmodo, via Apple support:
Why is Apple extending subscription periods?
The transition from .Mac to MobileMe was a lot rockier than we had hoped. We will be extending subscriptions by 30 days to customers free of charge to express our appreciation for their patience during the transition period.
Am I eligible for the 30-day extension? You are eligible if one of these applies to you: * you were a .Mac member whose account was active as of July 9, 2008 * you are a new MobileMe member who created your account on or before July 15, 2008 at 7:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time
Well, I was hopping for one year free membership, but nevertheless — thank you guys. ;)

This is big news guys (via Zakladi Interneta). It seems that iTunes Store is becoming reality for Slovenian users.

Note the “My Store: Slovenia” selector in the bottom of the screenshot.
Well, let’s not get to excited. At the moment it seems that store is opened only for iPhone apps — there is no music or movies section available. But nevertheless, let’s us hope & pray that this is just the first step and that soon we —Slovenian users— will be able to download music and movies from iTunes Store.
I’ve used my problematic MobileMe account to log in — straight away, no problems. It took only two clicks procedure to review my account data.

Apple has finally launched it’s new —.Mac on steroids— MobileMe service at www.me.com
However, you are advised (by me, that is) to wait a day or two before registering for your 60-day free trial. I’ve actually registered yesterday just to discover that I cannot login into my account because apparently the username I’ve used for registration was already taken before by a .Mac member. Registration procedure ignored that and it even allowed me to input and send my credit card information for that particular username, so they will have some explaining to do — and it gets even better, I’ve received an confirmation email that my account is activated.

I’ve already sent two e-mails to Apple support service and I hope they will resolve my issues soon — I’m really eager to test it. But hey, I guess I’m not the only one with ProblemMe issues, so it will probably take some time before they start working on me.
