Do Web Sites Need to Look Exactly the Same in Every Browser?

I guess they don’t. But they should function ‘as they are meant to’ in every browser.

So maybe you —websites developers— should stop concerning about how to make sites look the same in every browser and start thinking on how to make sites look best in every single browser for itself. Or maybe if you dare to profile users according to which browser they use and adapt your sites to preferences of different profiles? Thinking about it, there is a lot of space to play with this.
