Milan’s Gulf of Piran Plan

Citizens of Slovenia and Croatia, in an effort to solve our common problems for good, I’m proud to present you my Gulf of Piran Plan:
Milan\'s Gulf of Piran Plan

Created using BorderDispute_BayOfPiran image.

My Gulf of Piran Plan consists of two parts:

  1. It defines the long disputed maritime border between Slovenia and Croatia. The maritime border of Milan’s Gulf of Piran Plan is 50:50 compromise of what both sides have claimed. The plan is introducing the so called “Dot Europe”, the maritime X spot in which borders of Slovenia, Croatia and Italy join in one common point. The main objective of “Dot Europe” is to allow any ships to pass directly from Croatian to Italian waters (and vice versa) and to allow any ships to pass directly between international and Slovenian waters (and vice versa).
  2. It establishes the so called “Free territory of Joško Joras”, which is compromised of disputed area on the south side of river Dragonja. The territory is to be divided into two zones: Zone A, which is compromised of land surrounding the house of Joško Joras and is to be administered by Slovenia, and Zone B, which is to be compromised of land around Casino Mulino and is to be administered by Croatia. After buffer period of approximately 50 years, but not before Joras would die and Mulino would go bankrupted, a conference shall be held, where treaty that would allow integration of zone A into Slovenia and zone B into Croatia should be signed.

This is a Win-Win plan, isn’t it? I’m a fuckin genius. Somebody call Janša and Sanader, please! :)

- Regards, Milan
